2013 is the International Year of Statistics (Statistics 2013)!

The mission of the event is to promote the importance of statistics to users by joint efforts of the organizations throughout the world.

Among objectives of Statistics 2013 are:

- Increase public awareness of the power and impact of statistics on all aspects of society;

- Nurture statistics as a profession, especially among young people;

- Promote creativity and development in the sciences of probability and statistics.
