Investment and construction activity

 

The section contains information about the volumes and structures of capital investment by type of assets, by source of financing, by type of economic activities (the Classification of Types of Economic Activity, State Classifier 009:2010), and indices for capital investment. It also has data on ñommissioning the buildings (including residential), engineer installations and production capacities. The section also presents indicators on the activity of construction enterprises.

Capital investment is an investment for an acquisition of the new, which have been used or produced using one’s own  resources, tangible and intangible  assets, expenditure for capital repair and modernization. Investment into tangible assets is investment into residential buildings, non-residential buildings, engineering structures, machines, equipment and tools, transport facilities, land, long-term biological assets of animal breeding and crop farming other tangible assets. Investment into intangible assets is investment into an acquisition or creation using one’s own resources of the rights to use natural resources and property, software and databases, the rights for commercial brands, subjects of industrial property, copyrights and related rights, patents, licences, concessions, etc.

Capital investment is recorded by enterprises-legal persons by their main types of economic activity, by territory of location (legal address).

Indices are compiled using data at comparable prices according to the Technique approved by SSÑU Decree 494 of December 25, 2009.

Value indicators are presented at actual prices and used to produce the indicators of structure.

The estimation of investment per capita is made on the basis of average annual resident population.

Data on industry are given  according to sum  by types  of  economic  activity:   mining and quarrying; manufacturing; electricity, gas, steam and air-conditioning supply; water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation.

The construction work, according to the Classification of Types of Economic Activity, State Classifier 009:2010, include general and specialized construction work of buildings and structures. This activity includes new construction, repair operations and reconstruction, construction of buildings and prefabricated structures on the site of operations as well as construction of temporary objects (Section F Construction).

Indices of construction produce are produced in line with Technique (SSSU decree 91 of March 14, 2013). 

Residential buildings includes dwelling: single-family house, houses with two and more apartments and  boarding  houses (including old people’s homes, student’s hostels and others, e.g. refugee’s hostels, hostels for workers and employees, orphanages, homes for the homeless etc).
